TARZAN

Andy Briggs, author of the widely popular Hero.com and Villain.net series, will be coming to Trading Boundaries on July 5 & 6th as part of the launch of his centenary Tarzan book. The next two years are set to be the biggest in the history of Tarzan – 2011 marks the One hundredth anniversary of it’s creation and all 100 films are due to be re-released next year. Andy is the only author to have ever been given rights to the story by the Edgar Rice Burrows estate. Andy’s second book in the Tarzan series will be released next year. Christmas 2011 and 2012 will see an influx of merchandise to accompany the books.

Local schools have been invited for hour long presentations throughout the day and we are really excited to have Andy here during this exciting time.

COBI

Enjoy military but can’t find any suitably designed toys for children? Well look no further as COBI has an extensive range of ‘Small Army’ toys. Compatible with lego you can choose from army jeeps to mini figures to planes and ships. Our Wigwams make a fantastic edition to any garden or playroom this summer. In three styles, Fairy, Cowboy and Indian and Union Jack. All Wigwams are 4.5ft tall with a 6ft base, 100% canvas, assembled within five minutes.

We have had the great pleasure in sending six of our wigwams to the National Trust where they are situated on the green at Nymans Gardens in Haywards Heath. They have always been a huge hit here at Trading Boundaries and make a colourful and fun edition to our courtyard.

Children’s Authors Day – Saturday 31st July

The Elephant Toy Shop is proud to present the first in a series of Children’s Authors Days Ali Sparks and Andy Briggs will be making their appearance in the courtyard at Trading Boundaries just outside the Toy Shop! Ali & Andy will be signing copies of their books, reading extracts and answering questions. They will also be announcing the winner of our young writers competition.

Bank Holiday Weekend

Bank Holiday Weekend at the Elephant Toy Shop

The beautiful weather over the bank holiday weekend ensured that The Elephant Toy Shop was the hub of children’s social activity. Our extensive range of pocket money toys, outside toys and creative kits meant that whilst the parents were enjoying the famed Trading Boundaries BBQ and listening to the live outside music they had something to do.

With the launch of our Young Writers Competition the Toy Shop was inundated with budding authors wishing to enter into the competition of which will run until the 9th of July and the winners announced by our special guest children’s authors Ali Sparkes and Andy Briggs on the 31st of July.

The arrival of our girls and boys wigwams have been popular with both children and adults, whether you want to put them inside or outside these wigwams are all year round fun for all.

The Great British Railway

The Elephant Toy Shop has brand new stock as we gear up for the summer. Something for the younger ages to create, build and play.

A cool collection of traditional styled solid wood trains and track are available for you to build on an existing train line or start afresh.

With a Grand Central Station, your train set can be a bustling centre for travel and business. Or it might be a mountain top train station complete with timber yard, cargo carriages and freight train.

The Toy Shop has more track available to expand your current line with bridges, railway crossings and stations. With a track in-store to try out, you can see what will work with your line.

If the trains aren’t what tickle your fancy then the Toy Shop has an incredibly varied selection including some lovely new hand puppets and products to make bath time more playful.

Chimp and Zee

We now stock an extensive range of ‘Chimp and Zee’ games for ages 3+, among these are ‘Sneaky Bunnies’ where you have to collect the carrots before the farmer catches you - a game of memory, counting, communication and sharing. For the great British summer we have ‘Jolly Holidays’ a game of collecting, memory and observation in the race to be the one to collect everything you need for holiday before the other players.

Froppers

Froppers! The new exciting must have for every child and parent.

The Fropper is for children aged 18 to 36 months and  provides hours of bouncing ride-on fun. The Fropper is especially designed so that when not in use parents can fold them away and carry it with ease with its designed handle. Non abrasive wheels and no assembly required this is a summer must have.

In our world of fast paced living its nice to look back on our childhood and remember those traditional toys. Well the Elephant Toy Shop is pleased to say that we have them. We are proud to be able to offer an extensive range of wooden traditional toys including Bigjigs role play toys. We have a village shop where you can spend hours of fun selling food with the added benefit of its educational output. We have a huge selection of wooden play food including iced buns, fish and fruit. We believe here in the Elephant Toy Shop that playing with the wooden range is a fun and educational play time with toys that not only look amazing but will last a life time.

Our new exciting range of Science Museum creative toys for both boys and girls has arrived, we have everything from green science potato clocks to cosmic rockets. We are also promoting the eco-friendly creative gifts including the ‘Enviro Shopping Bag’ where you can design and decorate your own re-usable shopping bag to use again and again.

We have our new pink corner especially for girls where they can get anything from a make your own scrap-book, Doll making kits to secret diary’s and Mosaic windows.
